Nearly 100 students from the John V. Roach Honors College at TCU volunteered across Fort Worth during the first-ever Honors in Action: Roach Honors Day of Service, supporting local organizations including the Tarrant Area Food Bank, Ronald McDonald House and Fort Worth North Animal Care and Adoption Campus.
“Sports, Society, and Culture” Class to Host “Sports and Community in DFW” Panel
Roach Honors professor Dr. Sylviane Greensword’s “Sports, Society, and Culture” class
will host a panel discussion titled “Sports and Community in DFW: A Conversation”
on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at TCU’s Dee J. Kelly Alumni & Visitors Center.
The event will explore the power of sports and highlight the many elements that contribute
to building community through athletics, including coaching, facility design, marketing
and communication.
